Notes - premeditative design / ch. 21 nfd /

Mid-afternoon. You are at Carl Rahe's canoe livery area along the west bank of the Little Miami for a Subway lunch. Rather quiet today as the river is up, muddy and fast flowing. Carol is one page into the beginning of Chapter Eight of The Blue Bistro. You are wondering on family DNA and social contracts of those on ThreePlanets.

1438 hours. Maybe it would be a good time to finish chapter twenty-five.

Let's get to it. - Amorella

You have been home for a while and have completed chapter twenty-five. Run it through grammar and stats then copy. - Amorella

1637 hours. Sounds good to me. This chapter was more fun than I thought it would be.

That's because you know more than you did a few days ago. Post. - Amorella

1649 hours. Knowing more of what's happening helps me better enjoy the story.

Thursday, 14 June 2012. Blake, Pyl and Justin will shortly leave in the marsupial humanoid’s Ship with Friendly, Hartolite and Yermey for a series of tours via four-dimensional anti-gravitational billiards through the Milky Way Galaxy to ThreePlanets. The Earthlings plan to be away from Earth for a year.

Pyl Williams- Burroughs sits quietly in the kitchen ruminating, 'our friends and fellow colleagues believe we have taken leaves for university research jobs with the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil for this next year. Our houses are rented as of July 1.
.
In preparation Ship is in syl-net communication with his master counterpart Onesixanzero on ThreePlanets1.
.
Pyl Williams-Burroughs sits quietly in the kitchen with a glass of milk and a favorite local 'everything' cookie. Pyl considers, 'I am ready and not alone. I am quite compatible with Hartolite and Friendly; they are strong female companions and Yermey is just who he is in their Ménage a trois. I cannot imagine how this will be. We have only to be ourselves. Strangely, if it were not for what I have witnessed with Ship I don't think if I would have the trust and feel the security that this adventure can be pulled off and that, beyond, we will be the better for it. Computer machinery before flesh and blood. I feel comfortable flying myself, but I am also confident of automatic pilot when the situation allows itself. Could our computer technology ever be empowered like Ship is? We worry about roboclones overtaking the world in insect-like swarms or humanoid appears robots developing free will to wont power over we more delicate bio-creators. Ship's human-like voice doesn't instill anything but personal confidence like a track or swimming coach; she adds with humor, Ship was built for aliens by aliens. I think I'm infatuated with a machine named Ship.'

Justin Wayne Burroughs sits on the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. The room is dark. He sees the reflective floor light from under the closed door. I cannot believe we are doing this, he thinks, 'I cannot believe that we will be the first to witness an alien human-like culture. Inwardly, I feel we are essentially the same species with individual hearts and souls and minds just as they do. We believe in a similar God, in free will and hold corresponding philosophies. Socially and economically we hold to quite different ideologies, but we both desire similar positive cultural outcomes.'

Blake Williams sits on an old oak chair in his basement workspace thinking, 'this will be the most interesting year of my life. I will get to work with Yermey, one of their greatest minds. I want to know his questions as much as I do his answers. Yermey speaks of the heartansoulanmind as an almost physical reality but I do not even consider that a plausibility. These three people have seen centuries of study on Kant’s basic questions: What can I know? What shall I do? What shall I hope for? And, what is it to be a marsupial humanoid? I find it is easier to trust people over machinery. We create the machinery and no matter what people think we have the ability to out think machines and change their most basic programming. We might even change our own one day by manipulating our DNA for the better, for a healthier species. We can always pull the plug. No one can pull our plugs even these aliens; not here anyway. This is our planet, they were not created here.' Blake stands and walks up the stairs without looking back, sees Pyl and says, "Are you ready?"
She stands confident and smiling. "I am."
Blake shouts up the stairs, "Justin, are you ready?"
The toilet flushes. Justin opened the door and replies "I'm ready as I'll ever be."
Both Pyl and Justin hear a considerable calm in Blake’s words, "Let's go then." The thought, ‘reality is a very strange being,’ he keeps to himself.
The two followed Blake out the back door that Blake turns to lock. The three look up in surprise to the design of their familiar front porch gently floating to the ground. Each walks on admiring the Victorian-like craftsmanship. No ship is seen. The porch lifts up into some thirty feet above the roof of the house. Once inside the door is quietly sealed. Ship says, "Time for a social nightcap.”
Friendly, Hartolite and Yermey enter the room and Friendly greets the three keenly anticipating Earthlings with a wonderfully veracious smile, and says, "Welcome aboard. We will soon be underway. This will be an adventure for the six of us."
.
An adventure, thinks Ship in an unobserved smile. These six biochems have no
idea how good Onesixanzero and I are together. Earth and ThreePlanets have no idea
of our path. The surprise is unthinkable and once thought, still unthinkable.
