Dusk is closing in. You all
worked much of the day in both the basement and on the first floor. Paul took
off all the curtains and rods so the painters can cover the holes. All the
painting have to come down and will not be put back up. Several boxes are already
packed with small to medium sized knickknacks from the living room hutch and
lamp tables. The basement is ready for professions to clean out the big stuff
like desks and couches and tables and no longer usable items. You bought paper
for packing, bubble wrap, boxes and needed moving supplies. - Amorella
Kim packed another box of
family pictures in frame and now Kim and Paul are putting the boys to bed. You
have cleaned out the second desk completely, more reams of paper and notes
going out for recycle Monday morning. - Amorella

hours. I spent another hour finishing all the drawers. In the main desk I have
one bottom drawer of material that needs to be boxed. Otherwise, everything is
done. Some will be moved to Kim and Paul's tomorrow along with framed family
pictures. Five boxes worth. Plus, all Dad's guns but two; Paul wants to
refinish them for display, especially Dad's weapon used in W.W. II, mountain
sheep's horns Dad had mounted and Dad's officer's cap (Captain) from W.W. II
plus days.

You worked on packing some framed artwork
for Kim and Paul to take back, about noon you all drove to Longhorn's for lunch
(Kim's idea) and Graeter's for dessert. After, you drove to Barnes and Nobel to
peruse home decorating magazines. Looked through eight or so and found little
inspiration, but took a couple pictures of pictures for color/design reference.
Presently you are sitting in Rose Hill by Whitaker waiting for Carol to
complete her walk. It has been quite busy. You both told Tim King that you had
purchased a lot and will be building with M/I once again. Bob and Marie
Austerman died last winter and their daughter is living in the house (to the
immediate left of Kings') until she builds; now you (to their right) will also
be leaving, both Tim and Amy's neighbors since the beginning of the
neighborhood in 91/92. Tim says they'll leave one of these days also (when he
retires in a few years). - Amorella
1809 hours. Such is life, the seemingly endless lifetime of beginnings
and endings in/of relationships and settings.
