Somewhat
after noon. This is Amorella, again, after all these years, I'm still here with
you. You of much doubt and lack of religious faith. Where's this going, boy?
You tell me. - Amorella
1252 hours. I don't know. Presently, I'd say
it was me unconsciously attempted to imitate you, just to show a point not
proof it.
What's
the point, young man? - Amorella
1255 hours. Good one. The point is to attempt
to show I am not making you up, at least consciously. And, if I am making you
up unconsciously, then I have a very serious but controllable personal problem.
It is already controllable because you are in my fingertips, like the string on
the washer above the cross on a piece of paper with YES on one side and NO on
the other, courtesy of Dr. Payne, my psychologist for weight control at the
University of Cincinnati in the early 1980's was on my fingertips; thumb and
forefinger actually, right hand. That's where this writing began. (1303)
Not
a very spiritual beginning was it, boy? - Amorella
1304 hours. No, it began as to finding a
place in my head that would help condition me to lose weight.
Take
a break. Post. - Amorella
Mid-afternoon.
You had a late lunch at Smashburgers then Carol stopped at Michael's at the VOA
Centre across the street for a small purse calendar. From there to Kroger's on
Mason-Montgomery Road for a fill up for the Accord, eleven and a half gallons
for twenty-six, seventy-nine. That's with twenty cents off, the good news, this
was the first fill up for the Accord this month. - Amorella
1522 hours. The Kroger lot is busy (when
isn't it). Luckily there was a handicap spot right up front. When in high
school I would have met my friend Jerry Beaver who was working the automatic
pins at the back of his dad's bowling alley in Uptown Westerville. After he got
off (when they closed) we would go over to his house and play pool on a real
old fashioned pool table like Clair Nutt had Uptown at his pool hall. Just
chips, pretzels and soft drinks, no rowdiness. I usually left after his older
sister got in from a date and wilder party about two.
You
were just talking about Jerry at lunch. - Amorella
1531 hours. Yes, I
was talking about the old days with Jerry, and later about Gary Jackson an old
friend from high school and college. Gary and a fraternity brother, Slick, and I drove
downtown Columbus to see my first concert - Harry Belafonte and Odette live on
stage. Most awesome, most cool. Gary loved jazz and folk music, my fraternity
brother (Pi Kappa Phi -local - "Country Club") had three or four
black brothers at the time. No one ever said a thing. We were at Otterbein
College, the second school to admit Negroes, full status, in the United States
back in 1848. The first school was Oberlin, also in Ohio. I was always proud of
that, turns out I still am. The things one almost forgets about in a lifetime.
(1539)
You
obviously didn't forget. - Amorella
1541 hours. I just
had to be reminded.
In
here, that's what spiritual memory is all about. And, like in the above
paragraph it is usually tied to friends. - Amorella
1543 hours. Wow. That
brings up a tear or two. I am surprised. Oh my.
You watched ABC and NBC News as well as the last recorded
" Major Crimes" of which there are two final episodes so far not
shown. - Amorella
2127 hours. Carol is
talking to her sister, Linda. I am not going to continue this post tonight.
Happy New Year, one and all!
Post.
- Amorella
2129 hours. What do
you think of this New Year's celebration business, Amorella?
What
do you think of the Beyond, boy? - Amorella
2131 hours. Touché, Amorella.
