Late afternoon. After visiting the
'glass' section of bathroom choices and accessories at Swann's in Columbus
Carol and Kim have a clearer concept of what is available, especially in
unframed shower glass and door for the master bath. You have a morning
appointment the twenty-third of the month. Last night you took Owen and Brennan
to Five-Guys for cheese sandwiches, peanuts and French fries while Kim was
finishing up a late office phone conference. Afterwards, once home, you played
Owen and Brennan a game of chess. They had fun and enjoy the new experience.
Kim and Paul helped them from time to time. You were surprised losing your
Queen in a set up by Owen. Both boys had been practicing following the rules
and you suddenly realized Owen in particular had more strategic depth than you
thought. Owen calls it 'strategy' and was particularly happy when it worked.
You had a good time also. Kim and Paul had good ideas to help them but
sometimes they wanted to do their own moves. You won but it took some time
after being caught off guard. The game lasted about thirty-five minutes. -

1645 hours. It was a lot of
fun. I haven't played for years so it was fun to think in chess again. I told
them that you learn a lot more in losing a game than in winning. If you are a
good player about the only time you learn something is when you lose. You learn
not to make the same mistake in a similar or like circumstance. Nothing wrong
with losing. Both boys play a great variety of strategic oriented games so now
this is one more. The best of all of them as far as I am concerned. Owen and
Brennan have a scheduled time to play game two the next time we are up. I am totally
looking forward to it.

1654 hours. Yesterday you asked
me what I thought about the yesterday's post experience and I replied that I
had learned something beyond words -- I misspoke. I meant I had gained empathy
for what it might be like to be a freed human spirit in Amorella's sense of
metaphysics.

Carol has gone upstairs to read, Jadah is
keeping her company. Spooky is keeping you company by curling up in the chair
to your right in the living room. Time to relax by watching this week's
"X-Files" -- an entertaining break from reality. - Post. - Amorella
